Young Bacolod City officials elected for Boys and Girls Week

The elected officials for the Boys and Girls Week are led by Girl Mayor Libby Ponce Tangco of St. John’s Institute and Girl Vice Mayor Lorein Althea Opelario of STI West Negros University, along with young city councilors.

The city councilors are Christian Div Ledesma of Cabug National High School, Kurt Bryan Villanueva of SJI, Leone Christian Leongson of St. Rose of Lima, El Kenjee Ababa of Domingo Lacson NHS, Andrei Gabriel Pico of SJI, Anne Josephine Manayon of La Consolacion College, Noelle Cassandra Apuhin of Tay Tung High School, Anya Therese Brito of SJI, Camille Therese Pedrajas of Mansilingan Agro, Althea Judema Billones of Sum-ag NHS, Paulene Therese Radislao of Colegio San Agustin, Daniela Cuevas of Holy Family High School, Arriana Grace Adisas of MAIHS, and Juliana Kim Jacedo of Tay Tung HS.

The Rotary Club of Bacolod, in partnership with the City Government of Bacolod, has been training students for 51 years through the “Boys and Girls Week” program which aims to train the youth with effective leadership skills and good governance to ensure a brighter future for the next generations.

Alongside their counterparts, the Boy and Girl officials will serve the City of Bacolod for about five days, from November 18 to 22, as a city government official. They are expected to ask questions, join the planning, pass resolutions, participate in the sessions, and interact with their counterparts and subordinates.*
