Residents of Barangay San Isidro in E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental availed of livelihood, food, and other assistance from the municipal government on February 22.
The Office of Mayor Marvin Malacon, Municipal Agriculture Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), and Local Youth and Development Office (LYDO) distributed various assistance to residents.
Municipal Agriculturist Efren Garcia Jr. and agricultural technician Robin Lumogda discussed the agricultural services of the Municipal Government and gave an orientation to farmers on how to qualify or apply for agriculture incentives such as crop and livestock insurance.
MENRO-designate Jojo Vargas re-oriented the participants on Solid Waste Management (SWM) Law as well as the SWM policies, programs, and activities of the Municipal Government.
MSWDO head Emy Lyn Hibionada discussed the social services of the municipal government.
Hibionada and LYD Officer Joel Antonio also gave an orientation on women empowerment and youth development, the Anti-Rape Law, how to avoid teenage pregnancy, and gave an orientation on privileges of senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs).
During the orientation and forum, participants were given snacks and coffee, and afterwards they were given fresh fish, a variety of vegetable seeds, vitamins for livestock, and calendars; women and housewives received food packs; and children were fed with arroz caldo.
