Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran is now the acting mayor of Bacolod City.
Based on memorandum number 099 issued by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, Familiaran will be serving as acting mayor of Bacolod City from September 15 to 20, in view of his official travel abroad.
“You shall exercise the power and performs the duties and functions of the Local Chief Executive, except the power to appoint, suspend, or dismiss employees,” Benitez, in his issued memorandum said.*
