The official opening of the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival will be held today at the North Capitol Road at 6 p.m., after the simultaneous opening of the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival Food Expo at the North Capitol Road and at Megaworld The Upper East at 5 p.m.
A temporary road closure will be implemented along the North Capitol Road from May 21, 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. of May 27, and at Manokan Country (Fr. Ferrero Street) from 11 p.m. of May 22 to 11 a.m. of May 27.
The Piaya Grilling Ceremony by BongBongs will be held at The Upper East of Megarworld at 4 p.m. today. This will be followed by the Retro Cook-Out (80’s, 90’s, 2000’s DJ & BBQ Party) at 6 p.m.
A Chicken Inasal Open Style Dance Competition will be staged at 6 p.m. tomorrow at The Upper East followed by Merzci Hot Piaya for VIPs by Merzci Pasalubong at 8 :30 p.m.; Emperador Cocktail Mixology Lounge “Designer Drinks” at 8:30 p.m.; and Hip Hop Elements Concert “The Paradox Effect” at 6 p.m.
Also happening today is the Inasal Culinary Battle at the Manokan Country at 1 p.m. Awarding rites will be at the Main Atrium of SM City Bacolod at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The SM Super Pets Club BBQ will be held at 1 p.m. at SM City Bacolod on Sunday.
A Sugba Fest will be held at the Fiesta Market at Ayala Malls Capitol Central Grill Expo at 5 p.m. today, followed by outdoor acoustic performances dubbed “Afternoon Busk” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The WeareAyala Trade Fair will also open today until Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
The Brgy. Chicken Inasal Cook-off will be held at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central tomorrow at 2 p.m., aside from other events.
The Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival (BCIF), on its second year, envisions having the savory chicken inasal known as world-class.
Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez yesterday said the event will culminate on Sunday with entertainers and bands coming from Manila. He believes the event will be well attended since more and more tourists are coming to Bacolod because it is already a choice destination of local tourists. Because of that, they will probably gear their vacation or travel to Bacolod during this festival since this is one event that will attract local tourists.*
