Defending champion Tribu Cubay made it a back-to-back win, besting 13 other tribes and was awarded the Best Performing Tribe and this year’s over-all champion, as the 42nd edition of the Pasalamat Festival 2024 drew to a close Sunday night, with the awarding ceremony held at the La Carlota public plaza.
It also bagged the Best in Arena Dance, Best in Costume, and Best in Choreography.
Tribu Tres was declared first runner-up, and also bagged the Best in Street Dance award.
On the other hand, Tribu RSB was declared as the second runner-up, while Tribu Cubay brought home trophies and cash prizes worth at least P100,000.
Other winners were Tribu Tayubo, which won the Best in Float award, along with Tribu Ayungon and Tribu Balabag, which won 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
Best Dressed Drumbeaters’ Float was awarded to Tribu RSB, with Tribu Tayubo and Tribu Balabag, as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.
Best in Caricature was awarded to Tribu La Granja, together with Tribu Ara-al and Tribu Tres, which landed 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.*
