Seventy-five drivers of the Vallacar Transit Incorporated who were subjected to random drug testing by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Western Visayas have tested negative for illegal drugs use, according to PDEA regional director Alex Tablate.

The random drug testing was conducted yesterday by PDEA, in tandem with the Land Transportation Office and Bacolod City Police Office, in connection with the Holy Week travel season that will start on April 10.

Tablate said they will also conduct similar random drug tests among drivers of public utility vehicles outside Bacolod City.

He also lauded the cooperation and assistance of the other government agencies and the VTI management for successful implementation of the operation.
