Contingent no.8, composed of Barangays 6-A and 21, was hailed as this year’s over-all champion after besting 12 other participants of the Malihaw Festival Street Dance and Arena competition in Victorias City, Saturday.
It also bagged the Best in Choreography, and Best in Festival Queen Awards, and received P130,000 in cash after being declared this year’s over-all champion.
Contingent no.4, composed of Barangays 15 and 15-A, was first runner-up and won Best in Production Design award.
Meanwhile, Contingent no. 6, composed of Barangays 1 and 6 was second runner-up; while Contingent no. 5 composed of Barangays 2 and 9, also bagged the Most Discipline award and Champion in Street Dance.
The 118th Malihaw Festival was celebrated Saturday in honor of Victorias City’s patron saint, Nuestra Señora de las Victorias.*
