Negrenses are being warned on a person claiming to be Col. Romy Palgue, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, who has been asking for donations.
Palgue yesterday sought the help of Negrenses for the immediate arrest of the “scammer,” who has been asking for money.
Initial police investigations showed that a resident of Binalbagan was asked for donations by person claiming to be Col. Palgue.
The impostor used a cellular phone number 09065771699, Palgue, who already issued an order to investigate and track down the person behind the scam, said.
It is not our doing because we strictly adhere to our “No Take Policy” in the PNP, Palgue stressed, apparently referring to the modus operandi of the scammer.*
