The provincial government of Negros Occidental is looking into Performance Based Bonus (PBB), as a component for granting an extra bonus to Capitol employees before the year ends.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz yesterday said they are ruling out the giving of IBES (Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services), which he described as “problematic”, after the provincial government received Notice of Disallowance, or Audit Observation Memorandum (AOM) from the Commission on Audit, which provides across the board benefits, regardless of salary grades.
Diaz explained that the giving PBB will entails documentation, depends on performance and the salary grade of employees
Last year, Capitol employees each received P65,000 additional bonuses, of which P25,000 came from IBES.
Definitely, there will be no IBES this year, PBB is the next option, Diaz declared
But he said the 14th month pay will be released first week of December this year.
“We have source of funds for the additional bonus of employees from unused and surplus funds,” Diaz pointed out.*
