“Worth the wait to finally celebrate.”
These were the text printed on the wedding invitation of a Bacolod fire officer who took off with his bride on a firetruck which served as their bridal car, during their wedding day in Bacolod City Saturday.
Fire Officer 1 Alan Plantillo ll and Haydee Sumaya exchanged marriage vows at rites officiated by Rev. Frs. Rodolfo “Boy” Tan, Jose Ember Tuesday Tiangson and Dominic Derramas at the San Isidro Labrador Parish in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City.
Plantillo, chief of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod Personnel and Training Unit, is the son of retired Police Captain Alan and Urbanita Plantillo, while the bride is the daughter of retired Army Msgt. Remegio and Arlynn Sumaya.
Best man was Kevin Crosby Cabatuan while maid of honor was Romelyn Sumaya.
Groomsmen were PO2 Emmanuele Vecente Cuaycong, FO1 John Felix Federez, FO1 Ivan Garcero, FO1 Johnry Padios and FO1 Juniel Selpo.
Bridemaids were Angelica Esquera, Gladys Dolendo, FO1 Patricia Monique Parreñas, Ma. Jewel Lanette Plantillo and Leonisa Mae Tomas.
Benedict Paulie Trujillo and Marie Christine Consolacion were candle bearer; Jay Santillana and Jo Anne Thenage – veil; and Jowill Yap and Llora Dolendo – cord.
Francis Rowan Consolacion was ring bearer, Joshua Jacob Thenage – coin bearer, and Gian Baylosis – Bible bearer.
Flower girls were Althea Jade Millarez, Abrielle Dominique Ga and Kia Yvonne Lutero.*
