A job order worker of Silay City government and four other drug personalities were arrested in separate buy bust operations on May 8 in Negros Occidental, which yielded more than P80,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The apprehension of a job order employee of Silay City government, who is working as a school watchman at Hacienda Hinicayan in Brgy. E. Lopez, Silay City, yielded eight sachets of suspected shabu, P2,600 in buy bust money, and an improvised tooter.
The school watchman was reported as the fourth job order employee of Silay to be arrested for drugs.
The arrest also of another drug personality at Tumandok Village in Brgy. Santo Niño, E.B. Magalona led to the confiscation of about 10 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P68,000, a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition, and P500 in marked money.
Two other drug suspects were also accounted for by the police, following their apprehensions in Murcia and Talisay City, which also yielded 14 sachets of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, as well as P1,000 in marked money.
On the other hand, the immediate response of the police to a reported shooting incident in Brgy. Balintawak, Escalante City, resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect.
His apprehension yielded a North American Arms “Black Widow” caliber .22 revolver, containing an empty shell in its cylinder.
The Escalante City police also took into custody a Suzuki Raider 150 motorcycle, which was reportedly used as the getaway vehicle of the arrested suspect, whose identity was also withheld by the police.*
