With more than a year to go before the 2025 midterm elections, Negros Occidental 5th district Rep. Emilio “Dino” Yulo yesterday said that he is not thinking of politics, as of this time.
“Politics will come at a proper time. What is important, we have served the people,” Yulo said.
There are reports that Dina Arroyo-Tantoco, daughter of the late 5th district Rep. Ignacio Arroyo Jr., may challenge Yulo in the 5th district congressional race of the elections to be held in May next year.
Yulo said he cannot choose his opponents, stressing also that elections are still far away.
Tantoco is also the niece of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Yulo defeated incumbent 5th District Rep. Ma. Lourdes “Marilou” Arroyo during the 2022 elections.*
