
Nine rescue vehicles and one backhoe loader were turned over by Kabankalan Mayor Pedro Zayco to the beneficiary barangays in rites held at the Motorpool Compound in Brgy. 3 yesterday.
The barangay captains of Orong, Tapi, Hilamonan, Oringao, Tabugon, Pinaguinpinan, Tagukon, Locotan, and Camansi received the vehicles, a press release from the city said.
The purchase of rescue vehicles is part of Zayco’s program to provide mobility to all barangays of Kabankalan in times of emergency, especially in the hinterland barangays.
Vice Mayor Raul Rivera, Liga ng mga Barangay president Joestarr Bandojo, General Services Officer Agripina Seron, and engineer Reinzi Bancal assisted the mayor during the turnover ceremony.
The renovated motorpool office of the Kabankalan City government was also blessed by Fr. Emmanuel Magno.
The motorpool will house all the vehicles and heavy equipment of the city government. The repair and maintenance of these vehicles will also be conducted in the facility.*
