Oil firms to implement big-time price rollback

Oil companies will implement a rollback on petroleum prices for as much as P1.30 per liter starting 12:01 a.m. of June 11.

In separate advisories Monday, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, PTT, Shell, Seaoil, and Unioil said they will reduce gasoline prices by P0.60 per liter, and diesel prices by P1.20 per liter.

Caltex, Seaoil and Shell will also slash kerosene prices by P1.30 per liter.

Last week, oil firms had mixed adjustments in fuel prices.

“Year-to-date, total adjustment of gasoline and diesel stand at a net increase of P6.65 per liter and P5.45 per liter, respectively. Kerosene, on the other hand, has a net decrease of P0.25 per liter,” the Department of Energy said.

As of June 4, gasoline prices in Metro Manila are between P54 and P85.12 per liter; diesel prices from P52 to P81.25 per liter; and kerosene prices by P71.90 to P84.40 per liter.*PNA
