The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) has requested Gov. Eugenio Jose for the release of Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for provincial government employees.
In his letter to Gov. Lacson, a copy of which was furnished to Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, PACE president Engr. Ruben Diamante said that the PBB is a valuable incentive that recognizes the hard work and dedication of government employees, and an important tool for motivating them to achieve high levels of performance.
Diamante also noted that Capitol employees have consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment and dedication to their work throughout the year.
Citing Memorandum Circular No. 2023 1 FRM dated Aug. 22, 2023, he said the granting of PBB now has legal basis.
Diamante said the awarding of Seal of Good Local Government (SGLG) given by the Department of Interior and Local Government to the Negros Occidental provincial government was among the requirements for the release of the bonus.
The PBB, according to Diamante, is equivalent to 60 percent of regular and casual employees’ salaries.
“We leave it to the wisdom of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson when he will release it,” he added.*
