The New People’s Army Armando Sumayang Command yesterday issued a statement claiming responsibility for the death of a civilian they accused as a government “intelligence asset” on November 2 at Sitio Indangawan, Brgy. Manlucahoc, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, identified by the Sipalay City police as Dominadoc Tecson, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
Tecson, 30, of Brgy. Mansuban-on of the barangay, was waiting for a ride at a waiting a shed when a gunman approached and shot him at close range.
In a statement, rebel spokesperson Ka Andrea Guerrero claimed that Tecson is an active military asset, whom she also linked to alleged illegal activities.*
