Sipalay officials take oath

The official oath-taking of elected for the year 2022-2025 in the city of Sipalay took place at the city’s Municipal Trial Court on June 27, before Judge Edwin Gomez.

All elected officials with their families and witnesses were present during the official oath-taking. Afterwards, a short ceremony was held at the New Government Center Lobby where elected officials once again took their oaths in front of Congressman Genaro “Lim-ao” Alvarez Jr., Board Member Jeffrey Tubola, men and women in uniform from the BJMP, BFP, PNP, PA, and PCG, together with the heads of offices from local and national offices.

In her inaugural message, City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares requested for the continued support and cooperation of everyone to attain the sustainable gains. For the term 2022-2025, she highlighted that the city will continue to work hard in achieving its goals through data-driven programs for the 17 barangays and the city will invest more in advancing the economic, educational and environmental aspects of the city.

She also said that while the city is recognized for its efforts and campaign against illegal drugs, environmental protection, climate adaptation, peace and order, disaster risk reduction and management, agriculture and tourism and promotions, the city will continue to initiate impactful programs in these areas to ensure a smart, sustainable and safe Sipalay City.*
