Marvin Alob, a former janitor at a local bank, has transformed his life from cleaning floors to standing atop the podium as a certified coach and bodybuilding champion.

At 46-years-old, he defies age stereotypes and proves that with determination and faith, anything is possible.

Marvin now leads the field of bodybuilding in the province and is recognized as one of the top athletes in the Philippines. Recently, he proudly brought home two gold medals and two silver wins from a national bodybuilding and men’s physique competition held in Metro Manila recently.

“When I stepped on stage, I told myself to just go for it. I wanted to show what I’m capable of and I put my trust in the Lord,” Marvin shared.

As a leading fitness trainer in Negros Occidental, Coach Marvin shares his knowledge not only about fitness but also about lifestyle shifts and coping with depression through exercise.

“Fitness knows no age limit, even if you’re old. We need to exercise every day. A good mood and detoxifying our bodies are especially important in this heat,” Marvin emphasized.

In addition to his coaching duties, Marvin serves as the Head Trainer of Fitness Ground, a newly established gym in Murcia, Negros Occidental. Despite his busy schedule, he continues to see a bulk of clients at Millennials Fitness Center in Bacolod City on a daily basis.

“Life is a journey of challenges and triumphs. It’s not about how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up,” Marvin reflected, his voice resonating with the strength of a champion.

Because of his inspiring story, Marvin is being supported by various groups and fitness establishments like Get Wheysted Supplements Center in Bacolod City, further fueling his mission to inspire others and spread the message of hope and perseverance.

“As long as you have the heart of a champion, you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way,” Marvin affirmed, his words echoing with conviction.

Marvin recently aced a local competition, further solidifying his dominance in the field. With his sights set on the future, he aims to harvest more gold medals in the months to come, showcasing his unwavering dedication and determination.

As a native of Barangay Mansilingan, Marvin organizes community outreach programs as a way of giving back and expressing gratitude for the blessings he has received.

Currently, Marvin is preparing for the upcoming competition in Cebu, where he aims to once again showcase the story of his journey from a janitor to a champion athlete, inspiring countless others along the way.

“The transformation is within our reach, it depends on you, it depends on your discipline,” Marvin concluded, serving as a beacon of hope and motivation for everyone striving to achieve their dreams against all odds.*
