More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu was seized by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in buy-bust operations conducted in barangays 8, Banago, and Tangub, Bacolod City, yesterday and Saturday.
The operations also led to the arrest of suspects Allan Sadia, alias “To May”, 32, of Purok Paghidaet in Brgy. 29, Johnny Gonzaga of Purok Ylac in Brgy 1, Enrique Fuentebaja, alias “Biboy”, 35, of Gardenville Subdivision in Brgy. Tangub, and Tommy Flores, 27 of Brgy. Villamonte, all in Bacolod.
Sadia and Gonzaga were arrested at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday in Purok Riverside, Zone 3, Brgy. Banago for allegedly selling two sachets of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P1,000, the police said.
Nine more sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams and worth about P680,000, were also seized from the suspects after their arrest.
About two hours later, Station 8 operatives, led by P/Major Joery Puerto, arrested Fuentebaja in his residence, also for selling “shabu” for P200. He yielded two additional sachets continuing a gram of suspected shabu, worth P6,800, after his arrest, the police said.
PDEA operatives arrested Flores at about 12 a.m. yesterday in Brgy. 8, and seized sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 50 grams and worth P340,000, from his possession.
SALVAGE VICTIM IDENTIFIED
The man, believed to be a salvage victim and whose bullet-riddled body was found at the Bacolod reclamation area Friday morning, has been identified, P/Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, Station 2 commander, said.
Pendon said the victim, Ralph Pera Suspeñe, 24, of Antonio Luna Street in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental, was identified by his mother, whose name was not disclosed, at the Abe Funeral Homes.
He said that, based on records, Suspeñe was released from jail in August last year after he availed of a plea bargaining agreement, and was arrested in a buy-bust operation in May.
His mother sought the help of the police for his remains to be autopsied while the assailant/s and the motive for his killing are still under investigation.*
