Policemen yesterday seized more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy bust operation at Purok Ipil Ipil, Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The arrest of a certain Bebing, a 58-year-old widow, yielded an estimated 163 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,108,400.
The arrested drug suspect was categorized by the police as a High Value Individual drug personality.
A buy bust operation also on February 29 at Purok 6 in Brgy. Zone 14A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, also led to the apprehension of a construction worker, who yielded a gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,800, and P500 in marked money.
On the other hand, a 25-year-old miner was also intercepted by the police at a checkpoint on Thursday along the national highway of Purok Lubi in Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City, whose arrest also yielded a caliber .45 pistol, with a magazine containing seven ammunition.
The three arrested suspects are now locked up in jail.*
