An estimated P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered yesterday by the police during a buy-bust operation at Purok Neptune in Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.

PCol. Joseph Thomas Martir, director of the Bacolod City Police Office, identified the arrested drug suspect as Gerald Barillo, 25, of the place.

Martir said the apprehension of Barillo during a buy-bust operation by the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Joven Mogato yielded about 205 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.39 million and P2,000 in marked money.

PBrig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo, regional police director of Western Visayas, commended BCPO for a job well done.

Policemen also arrested another drug suspect identified as Michael Uberas in another buy-bust operation on May 18 at Purok Riverside in Brgy. Hawaiian, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The apprehension of Uberas, 36, yielded about seven grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P47,600, an improvised drug paraphernalia and P600 in marked money, police said.*
