The request of PLt Col. Rocky Desear, Escalante City police chief, for his transfer Police Regional Office 3 in central Luzon, was granted, disclosed provincial police deputy spokesperson, PLt. Abegael Donasco yesterday.
The relief of Desear as Escalante police chief took effect June 23.
Desear was temporarily replaced by his deputy, PLt. Glenn Portunes, pending selection of a new police chief, Donasco said.
PLt. Col. Mark Darroca earlier assumed command of Silay City Police Station, while PCapt. Ryan Villasario was replaced by PLt. Col. Necerato Sabando as officer in charge of the Hinigaran Police Station.*
