The wearing of face shield is now voluntary after Bacolod City was downgraded from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 2.
Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia said that “In compliance with the Office of the President Memorandum dated November 15, the use of face shields in Bacolod City shalll be voluntary, effective immediately.”
“While we are already in Alert Level 2 and we have sustained the decrease in COVID-19 cases, it is best that we remain cautious as we relax restrictions,” the mayor said.
Leonardia also reminded the public to “Wear your mask. Avoid high risk situations like crowds and poorly ventilated areas. The virus is still lurking but it can be beaten if we adhere to health protocols and get vaccinated. Protect yourself at all times.”*
