The Hinugyaw Inn, a three-storey building with 24 rooms in Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental was inaugurated on March 1.
The event was attended by Hinigaran Mayor Jose Nadie Arceo and Vice Mayor Mary Grace Arceo, together with the municipal councilors.
Also present at the ceremony were Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, Miguel Yulo – chief executive of 5th District Rep. Dino Yulo, and Niel Gatuslao, son of Board member Rita Gatuslao.
Mayor Arceo expressed his gratitude for the help extended by the governor, the reason why the first ever hotel in the town was erected. Such development could boost the town’s tourism industry and the southern part of the province.
The construction of the hotel started during the pandemic which the mayor was thankful that the project was funded by both the LGU and with the aid of the provincial government, without any loan.
While 5th District Rep. Dino Yulo and Board member Rita Gatulao sent their representatives to convey their congratulatory messages to the officials of Hinigaran for this project and the fast development in the town.
Vice Mayor Mary Grace Arceo said the hotel can generate additional income for the LGU and could attract more local and foreign tourists to visit the town in the coming months.*
