As he lauded the efforts of the police in the arrest of two drug suspects in Victorias City, which yielded P1.3 million worth of illegal drugs, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez vowed not to tolerate individuals engaged in unlawful acts, whoever they may be.
“I strongly condemn the proliferation of illegal drugs in the community and do not tolerate such detestable acts because I want to protect Victorias from such abominable menace,” Benitez said in a statement issued by the City Public Information Office.
The neophyte mayor said he will let the authorities to further investigate and incarcerate those who are subject to felonies.
Without any bias and with no influence from anyone, justice should be served, and whoever is guilty must be penalized, according to the rule of law, Benitez stressed.*
