A house in Purok Kaisahan Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City was damaged by fire yesterday that was started by two children playing with matches, while another two were also damaged during the All Saints Day break.
The Bureau of Fire Protection – Bacolod estimated the damage caused by fire on the house of Earl Julius Bendicio, which was made of light materials, at about P200. The fire was immediately put out by Bendicio’s neighbors and responding firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection from the Sum-ag and Pahanocoy Sub-Stations.
Meanwhile, the damage caused by fire to the house of Oscar Panes of Zone 1, Progreso Village, Vista Alegre Wednesday, was estimated by the BFP at P12,000.
The fire started from a lighted candle placed at the family altar.
Another house in Purok Paho, Brgy. Pahanocoy was also damaged by fire Monday. The damage to the house of Romele Desposado was estimated at P150,000.*
