The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental yesterday signed a strategic partnership with Teleperformance, a leading global group in digitally integrated business services.

The partnership aims to promote collaboration between Teleperformance and the province through the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC), a recognized talent development hub with expertise in technical vocational education, focused on the information and communications technology and language sector, according to NOLITC administrator, Dr.  Ma. Cristina Orbecido.

As stipulated in the signed agreement, Orbecido said both parties are expected to provide opportunities and enhance the skills of the students and graduates of NOLITC for a career at Teleperformance, subject to the standard screening and recruitment processes.

Teleperformance, on the other hand, will likewise provide a venue for seminars, workshops, and training activities for the benefit of the academic institution, she added.

NOLITC has been an active human resource partner of Teleperformance for over ten years and has helped transform the lives of socio-economically disadvantaged individuals around the province by offering scholarship programs in Contact Center Services and English language Proficiency.

Teleperformance Chief Operating Officer and Country Head Jose Luis Marquez, in his meeting with the Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, hopes that through the strengthened engagement with NOLITC, it will be able to deliver a lasting, transformational impact to the province.

Teleperformance also discussed with Gov. Lacson its Cloud Campus program, a revolutionary virtual workforce platform designed to optimize the customer experience and remote employee engagement in today’s hybrid work environment.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II said the province will support the expansion of TP sites in Negros Occidental, which will spur economic growth and bring more job opportunities to Negrenses.

Diaz added that the Gov. Lacson is also committed to building another cyber center facility for IT-BPM locators.

Orbecido disclosed that NOLITC is keen on implementing the cloud campus program and impact sourcing project with TP in the coming months, which is very timely with the completion of their new campus in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, next year.

Witnesses to the MOA signing were Atty. Diaz, Levi Trio, TP Marketing Manager for VisMin and Dr. Orbecido.

Teleperformance employs around 55,000 people in the Philippines and operates over 40,000 workstations in 23 locations, including Bacolod City.*
