The Philippine 12-Under team, represented by San Carlos City football team of Negros Occidental, defeated Team USA Blue, 3-1, to bag the 3rd Real Madrid Foundation World Challenge (Silver Group) at Valdebebas Training Ground in Madrid, Spain, on March 28.

The young Negrense booters are scholars of the Escuela Socio Deportiva Sining at Pag-asa (SIPA) Program.

In a statement, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, who congratulated Team Filipinas – San Carlos for being the champion, said “Your faith, determination, and discipline prove that the sky’s the limit for what you can achieve, and that your possibilities are endless.”

The team was led by SIPA Program head coach Jose Dennis Peñalosa and Mayor Renato Gustilo.

The RMF World Challenge gathers teams from around the world to demonstrate the Spanish club’s winning methodology.*
