The Silver Dragon Transport defeated AACI Transport, 83-71 in a game that started out competitive, as the Dragons held a three-point lead after one quarter 22-19. They then turned up their play in the second and outscored AACI Transport by 11 points in the frame to take a fifteen-point lead into the break.
Both sides fought gamely in the third, but the Silver Dragons maintained a fourteen-point advantage heading into the final quarter. AACI Transport was able to reclaim its momentum in the fourth but it wasn’t enough to complete their comeback.
Pipo Javelona led Silver Dragon Transport with 22 points, Alvan Rodriguez followed with 12, while Kevin Ramos and Kendrick Deloria logged 8 apiece.
Meanwhile, Oda Tampus led the AACI Transport with 27 points, Michael Veñegas had 13, while Keith Ramos tallied 8 points.
In the other game, JSY Transport defeated Basecom 80-77. The latter opened the contest in a dominant fashion, forging a 26-23 lead through one quarter. However, that would turn out to be Basecom’s best quarter, as the JSY Transport roared back in the second to erase their deficit and take a three-point advantage into halftime 50-47.
JSY bolstered their performance and furthered their lead in the third to fifteen points 74-59, and despite allowing Basecom to claw back in the final period, JSY took home the victory. Kim Dimaranan led JSY Transport with 29 points, Julius Teruel supplied 14, and Nikol Medina tallied 12. Nike Montalvo paced Basecom with 20 points, Carlo Chu chipped in 12 points, and DK Equipaje totaled 11.*
