The Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUPV) bagged its second platinum award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), along with three other recognitions in a ceremony held Monday at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
TUPV Assistant Director for Research and Extension/ ITSO Manager Engr. Gregorio Crisostomo, and Science Research Specialist II, Julius Remar Gabiota received the citations after securing the prestigious IPOPHL Platinum Plaque for the second time during the IPOPHL’s President Summit and Recognition Rites
The awards were given to TUPV for its outstanding contributions to IP initiatives in 2023 through patent filing, IP training and lectures, commercialization endeavors, and patent search activities, highlighting its pivotal role in driving technological advancement and fostering a culture of innovation.
In addition to the Platinum Plaque, TUP Visayas also received gold, silver, and bronze distinctions, further solidifying its position as a frontrunner in IP excellence and its unwavering commitment to innovation and IP rights protection.*
