Incumbent Mayor John Rey Tabujara appears to be unfazed by reports that he will be challenged in the Cauayan mayoralty race in the elections next year.
Tabujara confirmed that he will be seeking his third and final term as mayor of Cauayan in Negros Occidental.
“We cannot stop them from running,” he stressed.
Tabujara said he is already aware that the Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipino will field a candidate against him.
The name of Cauayan businessman Jurry Nabaja, who recently took his oath as PDP member, has been floated to challenge Tabujara in the town mayoralty race.
“I am ready for whoever challenges me,” Tabujara said.*
