Police probers are still clueless with regard to the persons who left behind two dead newborn babies in cities of Kabankalan and Silay City, Negros Occidental.
On the other hand, a baby boy was found abandoned but alive in a sugarcane field in Hacienda Caridad, Brgy. 2 poblacion, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, according to the police.
Barangay captain Mema Gallego reported to the police that a lifeless infant, placed inside an eco-bag, was found at Hacienda Malisbog 2 in Brgy. E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental, on May 6.
According to the investigation conducted by the Silay City police, the infant, a boy, was already in an advanced state of decomposition.
His remains were brought to a funeral parlor in Silay City.
Meanwhile, a garbage segregator discovered a lifeless infant at a dumpsite in Sitio Cabangahan, Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, on May 5.
The baby girl with uncut umbilical cord, was wrapped in a black garbage bag and placed in a box that was found by garbage segregator Josephine Diaz, according to the police.
On the other hand, a sugarcane worker found a baby boy inside a sugarcane field in Hacienda Caridad, Brgy. 2 poblacion, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, also on May 5.
A sugarcane worker, who heard the baby’s cry, found the newborn, still with the placenta and umbilical cord, wrapped in a piece of cloth.
The infant was taken to a hospital in Sagay City for medical examination, according to the police.*
