The arrest of five drug suspects in series of buy bust operations on May 31 and June 1, in highly urbanized Bacolod City, as well as in cities of Himamaylan and Victorias, Negros Occidental, respectively, led to the recovery of more than P4.5 million worth of suspected shabu.
Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6 and Police Station 2 arrested Jojo Segovia, alias Boy Tattoo, and Lijun Tayona, during a buy bust operation on May 31 at Burgos Street in Brgy. 10, Bacolod City.
The apprehension of two drug suspects yielded about 400 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P2.7 million, according to PCapt. Liberty Indiape, deputy spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office.
PMajor Rommel Anicete, RPDEU 6 chief, disclosed that Segovia has been included in the Police Regional Office 6 drug watch list, as a drug courier.
Another buy bust operation by the City Drug Enforcement Unit led by PCapt. Joven Mogato at Purok Langis in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, yesterday, also resulted in the confiscation of 262 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.78 million, from arrested drug suspect identified as Malcom Marshall.
Both Segovia and Marshall are classified by the police as High Value Individual drug personalities.
The arrest of two other drug suspects identified by the police as Reggie Sumagaysay Divinagracia in Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City, and Joemarie Puasan in Brgy. 6, Victorias City, all in Negros Occidental, also yielded about 6.5 grams of suspected shabu with a market value P60,000, police said.*
