The Negros Occidental Police Office has another city police chief in the person of Lt. Col. Joem Malong.
Malong, former spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 6, yesterday replaced Lt. Col. Joel Batusbatusan as police chief of Bago City.
The turnover of command ceremony between Batusbatusan and Malong was held yesterday at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, which was presided over by Col. Romy Palgue, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, and assisted by Lt. Col. Wilfredo Abordo, NOCPPO deputy police director for Administration.
Malong is the second lady police chief in Negros Occidental, next to Lt. Col. Rosemarie Salve Pico, police chief of Kabankalan City.
PLt. Abegael Donasco, NOCPPO spokesperson, said that Batusbatusan will be reassigned to NOCPPO headquarters, pending announcement his new position. Palgue commended Batusbatusan for a job well done in Bago City.*
