A resolution expressing sympathy and condolences to the family and followers of the late Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol, founder and Chief Executive Minister of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch), who passed away on May 19, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Monday.

Authored by Councilor Simplicia Distrito, the resolution said Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, 88, devoted his life to professing his faith and shared his apostolic virtues to countless individuals which made him an inspiration.

Through his faith, dedication, and unwavering commitment, PMCC 4th Watch became one of the fastest growing independent denominations in the Philippines and in Asia, and is identified as one of the largest indigenous Pentecostal Churches due to its presence in almost every locality in the country. Further, the church has made its presence and influence felt in more than 70 countries around the world, it said.

Through his leadership, PMCC 4th Watch actively took part in various social works such as medical, disaster response, and outreach and community enhancing programs, the resolution said.

Apostle Ferriol was also the founder of the National Christian Life College – Maranatha Christian Academy (NCLC-MCA) which was centered on providing students with greater access to quality education that instills Christian values, ideals and competencies essential to successfully meet the demands of the 21st century (NCLC-MCA Mission statement), it said.

Through the efforts of the PMCC 4th Watch, under the leadership of Apostle Ferriol, with the assistance of Kalinga Partylist, a multi-purpose gym was constructed in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, for the benefit of the residents, the resolution said.

The teachings, influence, and faith of Apostle Ferriol also made an impact on Bacolodnons through the schools he established, and the community development projects that touched a lot of lives, it added.*
