BY MARCHEL P. ESPINA

The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City will suspend its emergency services for two days starting tomorrow.

In an advisory, Dr. Julius Drilon, CLMMRH medical center chief, said that the temporary suspension from 6 a.m. of October 6 until 6 a.m. of October 8 will give way for the thorough terminal cleaning and disinfection in the emergency room.

The facilities at the emergency area will be rehabilitated and that will include electrical, mechanical, and air-conditioning units, he said.

He also said the hospital will reposition its beds in the emergency room to accommodate more patients for isolation, and that a new and expanded triage area will be set up to allow better facilitation of the patients’ needs.

The hospital will continue to cater to and admit patients on extreme emergency cases only, he added.*
