Cobra Energy Drink secured a comfortable victory against the shorthanded Vitamilk, but it was the latter who raced to a 22-20 advantage by the end of the first quarter. Cobra Energy Drink, having the manpower advantage needed to fight back, then outscored the Vitamilk in the second quarter 27-19, taking a six point lead.
The Cobras then played its best quarter in the third, outscoring Vitamilk again by a 30-26 margin to take a commanding lead into the final frame. They closed things out in the final 12 minutes of action when the game was already decided from a scoreline perspective. With the final score of 106-77, the Cobras moved to a 6-3 record.
Pipo Javelona led the way for the Cobras with 24 points. DK Equipaje recorded 20 points and earned player of the game honors. Nico Lopinco posted 18 points, and Michael Ang, sinking five shots from behind the arc, totaled 17 points.
Michael Venegas led all scorers with 30 points for Vitamilk, followed by Isaiah Tee’s 20 and Beejay “Badboy” Paredes with 10.
