BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A COVID-19 patient was reported by the police to have jumped to his death yesterday from the 5th floor of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City.

The patient identified as Charlie Galvez, 68, of Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, was later declared dead, after he was retrieved by hospital personnel.

The police investigation into the suspected suicide show that the COVID-19 patient was slightly hanging at the edge of the roof of the hospital’s water treatment building facility when his body was retrieved by hospital personnel.

Prior to his discovery, hospital guard Emmanuel Tobola heard a loud crash, according to the police.

Scene of the Crime operatives was requested by BCPO to process the crime scene. However, it was not pushed through, since it involved a COVID-19 positive person.*
