The Mabini National High School in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental held its first-ever “Kafiestahan Sa Uma Ni Ramir: A Farm School Day” on October 22, in celebration of reaching a milestone after “almost two years of farm school curriculum implementation through a festivity of thanksgiving, talents, creativity, skills, and appreciation.”
The kafiestahan began with a thanksgiving mass and welcome remarks from the school’s principal and farm school director, Marjune Vito.
The Grade 9 students performed an opening salvo and was followed by simultaneous activities such as the judging of Trade-Fair where the agricultural products of the teachers, parents, and learners were the main attraction.
The teachers, parents, and students also showed off skills in the kitchen during the cooking contest using the ingredients freshly harvested from the school. The fun and entertainment continued as everyone actively participated in the Laro ng Lahi, a series of pinoy traditional games.
One of the highlights of the kafiestahan was the Virtual Stakeholders’ Recognition in acknowledgement and appreciation to individuals, organizations, and establishments for their contributions to the school.
The event capped off with the awarding of the winners.*
