NOCPPO sends 82 additional personnel to Kabankalan

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office sent 82 PNP personnel as augmentation to Kabankalan City Police Station in a send-off ceremony held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., Bacolod City yesterday.

Kabankalan is one of the severely hit cites by Typhoon Odette with several barangays flooded, some structures damaged and some areas still having no electricity.

Among the total personnel sent, 32 policemen were tasked as Civil Disturbance Management personnel while the 50 other PNP will assist in the security and Search and Rescue operations of Kabankalan CPS.

Aside from personnel, 5 patrol cars and 1 PNP truck were also sent to increase the logistical capability of Kabankalan CPS. The CDM personnel will ensure that no civil disturbance will happen while the relief operations are ongoing.

PCol. Romy Palgue, NOCPPO provincial director, assures the Kabankalanons and all other affected areas that NOCPPO will do its best to ensure the safety and security of the people while the city is recovering from the devastation of Typhoon Odette.*
