BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Authorities yesterday confiscated an estimated P1 million worth of suspected shabu from an arrested Iloilo City resident at the BREDCO Port in Bacolod City.

Nabbed was Marcial delos Santos Jr., a Person With Disability (PWD) and a resident of La Paz, Iloilo.

According to PDEA, the arrest of PWD yielded about 150 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,020,000.

The suspect was about board a RoRo vessel bound for Iloilo when a K9 dog of the Philippine Coast Guard and PDEA detected the suspected illegal drugs inside his bag.

On the other hand, another drug suspect identified as Stephen Servento was also arrested by police during a buy bust operation on Tuesday at Purok 4 in Brgy. Tiling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.

The apprehension of Servento, 32, yielded 0.2 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1.938 and P500 in marked money.*
