The Philippine Statistics Authority – Negros Occidental joined forces with the Bacolod City National High School’s Class of 1999 in a two-day Giving Back Project for students, faculty, and staff of the school starting on April 18, as part of the 75th General Alumni Homecoming with the theme “Panaad sa City High. Celebrate the Present, Remember the Past.”

In support of the agency’s mission of delivering efficient civil registration and an inclusive identification system for equitable development towards improved quality of life for all, the PSA – Negros Occidental offered its services under the Birth Registration Assistance Project and Philippine Identification System to the school community. These PhilSys services include Step 2 Registration, PhilID tracking, ePhilID issuance, and TRN Retrieval.

“The schools are some of the best avenues for bringing services closer to the Filipino people,” said John Campomanes, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Negros Occidental. “That is why we must nurture meaningful connections with the academic community to ensure the inclusion of every Juan in the picture.”*
