The Dumaguete City Sangguniang Kabataan chairpersons fielded questions and clarifications from officials of different agencies recently on the basics of how to open a bank account in order to properly utilize their SK funds.
Several speakers during the lecture also shared tips to SK officials on how to maximize the use of their funds, consistent with the priority projects that are most needed in their respective barangays.
The SK fund is equivalent to 10 percent of the general fund of a barangay yearly, and ranges between P130,000 to P850,000, and should be appropriated for projects and activities that promote the welfare and interest of the youth.
