Three minors were found dead after their home and 11 other houses were gutted by fire Tuesday night in Sitio Troso, Brgy. Bulwangan, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Initial investigations of the Bureau of Fire and Protection showed that the three victims, ages 3, 7 and 9, were all sleeping in one room when the fire took place.
The grandmother of the victims survived.
BFP further investigations showed that the fire reportedly originated from an unattended lighted candle inside the room of the siblings.
Eleven houses in the same area were also burned, the report added.
However, the damage caused by fire has yet to be established by BFP arson investigators, as of this time.*
