Unique cemetery declared heritage, tourist site

The Familia de Luzuriaga cemetery along Burgos-Lopez Jaena streets, Bacolod City has been declared a heritage site and tourist destination.*

An ordinance declaring the Familia de Luzuriaga cemetery as a heritage site and tourist destination, was recently approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod on first reading.

The ordinance also provides for the appropriation of funds for the preservation and beautification of the cemetery.

Bacolod Councilors Jason Isidro Villarosa, Jude Thaddeus Sayson, Al Victor Espino, Vladimir Gonzalez, Claudio Puentevella, Simplicia Distrito, Celia Flor, and Psyche Marie Sy authored the ordinance.

Meanwhile, the SP congratulates Carl Jeremy Nayon, a Bacolod City resident and member of Pilipinas Ultimate, for coming out victorious by winning a gold medal in the Thailand Ultimate Invitation 2022 on August 27 to 28 in Thailand.

The resolution was authored by Villarosa and co-authored by Puentevella and Sayson.*
