The territorial waters of Victorias City, Negros Occidental, is red tide toxin- free.

This was announced on October 19 by the city government of Victorias, after results of water sampling taken from the Guinpana-an, Malihao and Malogo rivers showed it tested negative for red tide.

The test was conducted after red tide contamination was reported in the waters of Panay and Roxas City.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) also reported red tide toxin presence at Milagros Bay in Masbate.

The gathering, harvesting, and marketing of shellfish from areas with the red tide toxin are not allowed.*
