A job order worker of a local government unit was among the eight drug suspects nabbed by the police in a series of buy operations on March 8 and 9 in Negros Occidental.
It also resulted in the recovery of more than 55 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of about P300,000, and a caliber .22 revolver.
The apprehension of a job order worker of the Silay City government on March 9, during a buy bust operation at Matagoy Interior in Brgy. Rizal, Silay City, yielded an estimated 13 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P88,400.
Another buy bust operation on the same day at Purok Malipayon, Brgy. Guinhalaran, also in Silay City, led to the arrest of a 34-year-old welder and the recovery of 26 grams of suspected shabu with market value of P176,800, among other confiscated items.
The apprehension of a 25-year-old tricycle driver in Brgy. Efeginio Lizares, Talisay City, also yielded five sachets of suspected shabu and a caliber .22 revolver, the police said.
Five other arrested drug suspects in San Enrique, Manapla, Toboso, Cauayan, and Hinobaan also led to the confiscation of more than P20,000 worth of suspected shabu.
