Fire hit a three-storey commercial building at Hilado Street, Brgy. 17 in Bacolod City Saturday, and destroyed about P100,000 in properties.

The Bureau of Fire Protection received a call at about 2:53 p.m., informing them that the third floor of RS building was on fire, Fire Officer 3 John Stewart Mondido, arson investigator, said.

Mondido said several fire trucks were dispatched to the area and the fire was put out at about 3:15 p.m.

He said the fire damaged the building, owned by Indian national Harpit Sigh, that houses home appliances, plastics, foams and other goods.

Mondido added that their investigation showed that the fire started at the third floor of the building where the stocks are stored.

There were five employees in the building when the fire happened but they were unhurt. The BFP was yet to determine the cause of the blaze, as of yesterday.*
