The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod approved yesterday the request of Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to extend the deadline of the filing of business permits and licenses with no discount and no penalty, from January 21 to February 15.

Payments for business taxes, fees and charges from January 1 to 20 will be subject to 10 percent discount.

The Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) of Bacolod City for the renewal and application of business permits is ongoing at the fourth floor of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central from January 2 to 20.

Stella Rose Rayos, Permits and Licensing Division head, said those who will process their business permits until January 20 will avail of 10 percent discount. The BOSS is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The 10 percent discount in business tax takes effect from January 3 to 20 per City Ordinance No. 565, she said.

Rayos said they conducted advance processing from November 20 until December 29.

Taxpayers will have an option whether to process their application online or manually. Those who want to process their application online can check their link at the city’s official website at bacolodcity.gov.ph, while walk in applicants do not need to get an appointment, she added.*
