Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez issued Executive Order No. 029 constituting the Bacolod City Disposal Committee Tuesday.
The Disposal Committee will be composed of the mayor as chairman, City Administrator Pacifico Maghari – vice chairman, and members composed of Councilor Israel Salanga – SP Committee on Government Assets chairperson, City Treasurer Arlene Memoria, City Accountant Jeremae Ann Ceriaco, City Assessor Maphilindo Polvora, City Budget Officer Imelda Williams, City Planning and Development Office head Mary Jean Ramos, General Services Officer Gilda Lluisma, and concerned heads of office.
The committee will assume the following functions: conduct inspection of properties of the city that are to be disposed either because they are unserviceable, are no longer needed, or as requested by the user or custodian of the property; make a master list of properties to be disposed indicating their description, quantity, accountable or assigned person/office, reason for disposal, their appraisal value, if any, and the mode of disposal;
To supervise the conduct of actual disposal of property in accordance with existing laws and regulations, and to perform other such duties and functions that are necessary for the accomplishment of the above functions.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat and Technical Working Group will be composed of Secretary to the Mayor Karol Joseph Chiu as head and the members will be composed of executive assistant Rodel Parcon, City Auditor Jose Ray Agpangan and retired Gen. Primitivo Tabujara.
The Secretariat and TWG will perform the following duties: provide the needed technical and administrative support; document the proceedings of the Committee and keep its records; and perform other functions which the Committee may require.
The GSO as the custodian of the properties of the city will keep the record of the disposed properties.*
